FC Cincinnati Celebrates Camp Kindness Day with Stepping Stones programs for people with disabilities. On July 23, Stepping Stones partnered with FC Cincinnati to celebrate National Camp Kindness Day at Summer Day Camp.

What is Camp Kindness Day?

Founded by the American Camping Association, the Camp Kindness Day is a national celebration of the intentional kindness that happens every day at camp.

To join Stepping Stones in celebrating the occasion, FC Cincinnati’s Ambassador Player Omar Cummings made a surprise appearance at our Summer Day Camp in Indian Hill. The nine-week program serves children and teens with varying disabilities and all of our campers were delighted to hit the field with such a talented soccer player.

Kindness + Teamwork on the Soccer Field

On the field, Omar led groups of campers in a series of soccer drills while teaching them all about the kindness and teamwork involved in playing the game of soccer. Our participants were also able to learn expert tips from the pro himself on how to navigate a soccer ball across the field and best score a goal against the opposing team.

At Stepping Stones, we strive to deliver and celebrate kindness 365 days a year. The opportunity to celebrate with one of the leading soccer players of the world was just an added bonus to make our Camp Kindness Day celebration all that more special. We thank FC Cincinnati and Omar Cummings for kindly making this visit possible.
