As we continue emerging from the pandemic, we have full-time openings for applicants to join our program staff team. Both our Step-Up Autism Alternative Education and Adult Day Services programs are growing! To provide leadership and a level of support for participants with developmental disabilities, we’re currently recruiting Educational Aides and Direct Support Professionals. These positions play a vital role in our programs and are excellent opportunities to gain leadership and other professional development skills while making a positive difference in your community.

Direct Support Professional – Adult Day Services
Stepping Stones’ Adult Day Services offers an enriching program opportunity for adults with disabilities!Participants arrive in the morning and connect with a group of their peers over a variety of engaging recreation activities. Members of our Direct Care team gain leadership skills while providing supervision and directing participants through art, technology, wellness and other program projects.

- Ability to multi-task and engage participants in a group setting

Educational Aide – Step-Up Program
Our Step-Up Autism Alternative Education program provides an individualized education for students with autism! In this unique program, Stepping Stones partners with multiple local districts to provide an optimal learning environment for those unable to succeed in a traditional classroom setting. Students attend school at our Given Campus in Indian Hill, where they are each matched with a 1:1 Educational Aide. As an Educational Aide, staff gain leadership experience while delivering instruction on academic, self-care, daily living, recreation and self-regulation skills with the guidance of a certified intervention specialists.

- No experience required! Our comprehensive training program prepares aides on everything they need to know to perform their role well
WORK LOCATION: 5650 Given Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to successfully complete criminal background checks
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to walk continuously for extended periods of time, in and outdoors as needed
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communications skills
- History of excellent attendance and punctuality
- Understanding of autism is beneficial, but not required
RATE OF COMPENSATION: $13.50 per hour
