Artworks visits Saturday Kids Club
More than 40 children focused on their super abilities this month when Stepping Stones’ Saturday Kids Club collaborate with ArtWorks’ Hero Design Company to create personalized superhero capes for participants. ArtWorks apprentices visited with each child before creating capes that celebrated the child’s energy and passions. Capes featured animals, crowns, cartoon character, huge smiles and lightening bolts.

“The capes were spot-on with the children’s interests and personalities,” said Meghan Kessen, Manager of Recreation & Leisure Services at Stepping Stones.

Children twirled in their capes, traced images with their fingers and held their arms in the air as they took the superhero pledge to use their superpowers for good and to remember that they have unique abilities.

ArtWorks project manager, Ryan Little of Northside, said the project recognizes the heroic qualities that individuals exhibit as they face challenges with determination and energy.

This event was also sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cincinnati.
