Stepping Stones is a nonprofit, United Way partner agency dedicated to building pathways to independence for individuals with disabilities. Our year-round programs empower participants age 5 to 65+ to develop new skills and more fully participate in their communities.
Our staff team includes highly motivated, skilled and compassionate individuals in a variety of full-time roles. Year-round positions range from certified Intervention Specialists and licensed nurses to administrative staff and groundskeepers. We also employ seasonal staff with work opportunities available in our summer camp as well as weekend recreation programs throughout the school-year.

A Responsible and Trained Staff
Members of Stepping Stones staff receive an average of 80 hours of training throughout the year and are all certified in First Aid & CPR.
All staff members get State and Federal fingerprints prior to working with individuals with disabilities and are re-fingerprinted every three years. Prior to employment, we check to ensure that new hires are not listed on the Nurse Abuse Registry or the Abuser Registry. Other pre-employment screens include: Self -Reported Convictions Statement, Personal and Professional Reference Checks, Medicaid Fraud Check, Sex Offender Registry, Offender Search and a SAM Registry.
