Ways to Support
Stepping Stones is a nonprofit offering a variety of ways to support life-changing services for children, teens and adults with disabilities.
Since 1963, Stepping Stones has helped people with disabilities in Greater Cincinnati, Ohio find pathways to independence that improve their lives and enable them to more fully participate in their communities. Today, Stepping Stones offers a variety of year-round programs and serves more than 1,100 children and adults with disabilities at four program locations.

Annual Fund
The Annual Giving Fund is established to help Stepping Stones meet the increasing and changing needs of the extraordinary people we serve. Stepping Stones depends on fundraising grants and gifts to the Annual Giving Fund to balance the budget. The Annual Giving Fund donations are used for a variety of important programs:- Camperships to Summer Camp
- Adult Day Services
- Weekend Respites
- Saturday Kids Club
- Saturday Young Adult Club
Endowments
The Endowment Fund is established for restricted gifts for the long-term support of the objectives and mission of Stepping Stones. The Fund is a separate and identifiable fund of cash, securities and other assets that are held as restricted funds within the general assets of Stepping Stones.Endowment gifts are often in the form of cash or securities but also may include gifts of real estate, appreciated property and planned giving options. Endowment gifts can be paid over a period of years and may be designated for specific named funds and scholarships.
Matching Gifts
A great way to increase your donation to Stepping Stones is through your employer. Many companies offer a matching gift program to their employees, directors, employees’ spouses or retirees as an added benefit. With these programs, a company will match an employee’s gift to charitable and educational organizations.Contact your Human Resources office to see if your company has a matching gifts program that can be used to match your contribution to Stepping Stones.
Donate Stock
Another way to make a donation is by donating owned stock. To do this you will need our stock transfer information listed below. Memorials and Tributes
Gifts made in memory of or in honor of a loved one are used to support the objectives and mission of Stepping Stones unless otherwise specified for a specific program or purpose. Gifts-in-Kind
Do you have a product, service or other item that could benefit Stepping Stones? You may donate it as a Gift-in-Kind. Planned Giving
Planned gifts to Stepping Stones can be made in many ways, including bequests by will, a gift of life insurance, charitable trusts, gift annuities and gifts of appreciated assets (i.e. real estate and securities). Shop Kroger Community Rewards
Turn routine Kroger shopping into a donation to Stepping Stones by enrolling in the Kroger Community Rewards program. One great way to support Stepping Stones is by hosting a third-party fundraising event. We Help Others
Do you have any unwanted furniture, electronics or other items? Reach out to We Help Others! They will do the heavy lifting for you by picking up and selling the item — donating the proceeds back to Stepping Stones.
