Stepping Stones’ Summer Camp for individuals with disabilities was founded in 1963 as the first of its kind in Southwest Ohio.

Today, our tradition of creating memorable program experiences that build independence and promote inclusion continues.

ABOUT OUR SUMMER ADVENTURES

Stepping Stones’ summer programs provide an inclusive, encouraging environment where individuals with disabilities find adventure! The nine-week summer season runs annually from early June into August at two Greater Cincinnati locations. Activities range from outdoor favorites like fishing, nature and swimming as well as art, music and sensory.

At Stepping Stones, we pride ourselves in celebrating everyone’s abilities! All activities are adaptable to suit each individual’s personal talents. Our staff is also highly trained and each location has on-site licensed nurses.

SUMMER OVERNIGHT STAYCATIONS (ALLYN CAMPUS)
AGES 16 – 65+

Stepping Stones’ popular Summer Overnight Staycation program invites participants age 16 to 65+ with disabilities for a five-day stay at our Camp Allyn location in Batavia. With 47 acres and abundant wildlife, this scenic property is the perfect setting for an enriching summer retreat.

Participants move into camp on Sunday, enjoying a variety of recreation activities with a group of their peers through checkout Thursday afternoon. 


LOCATION: Allyn Campus — 1414 Lake Allyn, Batavia, Ohio 45103
OPERATING: 5-day sessions running June 1st – July 31st (No Session Week of June 30th – July 1st)
PROGRAM TIMES: Check-in on Sunday afternoon and stay through check-out Thursday afternoon
COST: $972 per session

PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • Adaptive activities suited to all abilities
  • Highly trained staff
  • On-site licensed nurse from 7 am to 9 pm
  • Accessible sleeping cabins with air conditioning
  • Accessible hiking trails
  • Adaptive archery range
  • Miniture golf course
  • Outdoor swimming pool
  • Sheltered outdoor program spaces
  • Small group ratios (No 1:1s available)
  • Three lakes for boating and fishing
  • Commercial kitchen and dining hall, professionally certified to accommodate special dietary needs


SUMMER DAY CAMP (GIVEN CAMPUS)
AGES 5 – 18

Stepping Stones’ signature Summer Day Camp invites children and teens for summer fun at our 23-acre Given Campus in Indian Hill. The nine-week summer season kicks off on June 2nd.

Campers bond with a group of their peers while enjoying art, nature and sensory activities as well as summer favorites like fishing and swimming. 


LOCATION: Given Campus – 5650 Given Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243
OPERATING: Weekdays for nine weeks, running June 2nd – August 1st (No Camp July 4th)
SERVING: Ages 5 – 18
COST: $73 per day

    PROGRAM INCLUDES:

    • 23 wooded acres with plenty of wildlife
    • Highly trained staff
    • On-site licensed nurses
    • Standard staffing ratio of 6:1. (No 1:1 spots available)
    • Accessible hiking trails
    • In and sheltered outdoor program spaces
    • Outdoor swimming pool
    • Lake for boating, fishing and other waterfront activities
