While many were enjoying a holiday weekend off, Eagle Scouts troop 977 of Anderson Township shared their Easter with Stepping Stones. The troop built raised flower beds for adults with disabilities at our UCP Campus in Norwood. The volunteer project was led by Max, whose volunteer experience last summer inspired him to help Stepping Stones for his service project.

“I came to Stepping Stones with my youth group last summer to volunteer and I knew it would be the perfect organization to help,” said Max.

On Saturday, Max and his Eagle Scout troop constructed raised flower beds for Stepping Stones’ Adult Day Services program, using wood donated by Home Depot and mulch provided by Bzak Landscaping. Their hard work paid off, with three flower beds constructed that participants of the Adult Day program will be able to plant flowers and vegetables in this spring.

Thank you to Max, his fellow troop members and their families for being our special Easter bunny this year and completing such a terrific project for Stepping Stones.
