Stepping Stones seeks summer camp nurses for day and overnight programs in Greater Cincinnati

Stepping Stones is seeking nurses for our day and overnight summer camps!

Summer is on the way and we are hiring responsible and enthusiastic nurses to work in our day and overnight camps. “We are looking for nurses who can work full time or part-time schedules in the summer,” said Nursing Supervisor Linda Apel.

Stepping Stones summer programs serve more than 750 children, teens and adults with disabilities at the Given Campus in Indian Hill and Allyn Campus in Batavia. Disabilities include autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, seizure disorders and multiple disabilities.  Nurses’ duties range from administering medications and Band Aids to assisting with tube feedings, said Apel. “We take care of all medical needs while at camp.”

Working at Stepping Stones is a great and rewarding way to use nursing skills in the field of disabilities while seeing the direct impact on the happy faces of campers. “When you collect meds in the morning, the smiles are worth 1,000 words.”
