Discover Your Voice and Make an Impact

What was the last thing you said? It could have been as trivial as asking for coffee. It could have been as powerful as a declaration of love. You said the words and someone understood.
Robert has the words. He has the desire to share his feelings and needs. But he has cerebral palsy, which makes every muscle difficult to control and every sound a struggle. “I don’t understand” is the response he hears over and over. This articulate 35-year-old knows what it is like to be treated like a child, to be dismissed with a smile when he is too hard to understand. At Stepping Stones, Robert is finding his voice with the help of targeted technology, old-fashioned ingenuity and funding from people like you. The funding buys iPads, provides assistive switches and support systems, and marshals the tireless, talented staff who know how to reach past disabilities to access every ounce of ability.
Support the Ability!
This holiday season, join us in reaching past those disabilities to support the abilities of the more than 1,000 children, teens and adults we serve who are dealing with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities and other challenges.Your donation will change lives and build pathways to greater independence. The path isn’t easy. It’s not quick. But the impact is powerful. And you will be joining a trusted team that never gives up.
When Robert had difficulty positioning himself to tap the screen, our staff designed an iPad support and spent more than one year helping him learn the hand movements to operate his communication device. Robert is only one example. There are hundreds more.
