Operation Sunshine!

Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors deliver more than sunshine to Stepping Stones’ Camp Allyn.

On July 27, the CABR hosted the annual Operation Sunshine picnic for participants of our Overnight Staycation. 65 teens and adults with disabilities enjoyed a tremendous meal of fried chicken, sandwiches, savory sides and a beautiful ‘sunshine’ cake with the realtors and their families.

In its 44th year, Operation Sunshine is an annual fundraising drive hosted by the board of realtors to support Stepping Stones’ programs. To celebrate the long-running campaign, the picnic at Camp Allyn is a beloved tradition where the realtors and our participants are able to come together in the spirit of sunshine. Last year’s fundraising campaign raised a record $9,500 and the realtors received the Outstanding Volunteer Award at our annual meeting in April.

After the last bite of cake was eaten at the July 27th picnic, the realtors gathered to meet Latisha. She is a participant of the Overnight Staycation program and has enjoyed the Operation Sunshine picnic for several years. To express her appreciation, Latisha read a letter of thanks to the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors for the joy they bring to Camp Allyn year after year.
