Sporting Clays Tournament co-chair Peter Borchers with committee member and prize winner Mark Hill.

On Friday, May 11, 134 shooters attended Stepping Stones’ Sporting Clays Tournament at Sycamore Pheasant Club in Loveland, Ohio.

With sunny skies, the second annual event was a beautiful day in the great outdoors. Guests enjoyed lunch by Jersey Mike’s and a safety training before hitting the course for a 27-station clay shoot. The tournament also featured several challenges, including a creative poker game where players collected cards at various station in a competition for the best hand. The poker challenge was won by Burke Byer.

Following the tournament, attendees were joined by their spouses and family for a relaxing celebration at the lodge. Flipdaddy’s kept the grill going, serving a popular burger bar that included a feast of toppings as well as Saratoga chips, pasta salad and more. Over burgers, guests also enjoyed craft beer and a bourbon tasting led by event co-chairs Peter Borchers and Brian Folke.

In first place, the Anchor Properties team took top prize with an impressive score of 319 points. The Hansen Scaffolding team came in second, scoring 291.
