Mariemont Art Exhibit to Support Stepping Stones
Date posted: July 23, 2018In August, fellow nonprofit the Mariemont Woman’s Art Club and Cultural Center is hosting a two-week art show to benefit Stepping Stones.
The upcoming Makers’ Mark Painting & Sculpture exhibit features works by acclaimed artists Eileen McConkey, Gina Stevenson, Jan Wiesner and Mark Wiesner.
As studio neighbors at the Pendleton Art Center, the four artists discovered that while they share a common drive to create – they each have a varying and distinctive point of view. In the August exhibit, they’ll share how they each put their signature ‘mark’ on a striking selection of paintings and sculptures.
On August 17, guests are invited to celebrate the exhibit with an opening reception at The Barn from 6 to 9 pm. Following the reception, the exhibit will continue to be on display through September 2.
Stepping Stones is honored to be named the exclusive charity beneficiary of the art show. A share of all sales will be donated to support year-round programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities.
Sponsors of the exhibition include John Hueber Homes, Hyde Park Lumber & Design Center and Black Cat Hair Salon.
