Stepping Stones Volunteer Champions Program I Cincinnati, Ohio

The new Volunteer Champions program offers a long-term service opportunity that will help rising student leaders achieve their full potential.

At Stepping Stones, we recognize the importance of training, mentoring and supporting the student volunteers who support our recreation programs.

To appreciate our most dedicated volunteers, the agency has launched a new “Volunteer Champions” program! This new initiative is designed to offer a long-term service opportunity to students as well as recognize those for their committed service. The program is also an excellent means of helping shape the leaders of tomorrow through today’s opportunities of service to others.

What Is the Volunteer Champions Program?

Stepping Stones’ Volunteer Champions program provides students with the opportunity to build an impactful volunteer experience that creates self-confidence, strengthens communication skills and fosters strong empathy for the well-being of others.

Five levels of recognition have been established for the number of volunteer hours achieved. As Champion volunteers progress through the program, they will receive various awards and acknowledgments to commemorate their service.

Who is Eligible to Be a Volunteer Champion?

The Stepping Stones Volunteer Champions program is open to:

  • Rising high school freshmen students attending private or public schools across the Tri-state
  • High school sophomores or juniors who are seeking a community service opportunity to include on college applications
  • High school seniors (Subject to date of enrollment)

How Do You Become a Volunteer Champion?

  1. First, complete the online Volunteer Application.
  2. After completing the application, select your volunteer dates online.
  3. Lastly, let us know you are interested in joining the program by sending an email to Volunteer@SteppingStonesOhio.org

How Do You Accumulate Service Hours?

The primary focus of the Volunteers Champions program is time spent in Stepping Stones’ Summer Camp or Saturday Club programs. Service hours can also be accumulated by assisting with special events or interning, as assigned.

The five levels of recognition can be achieved:

  • Throughout one’s entire high school experience
  • Through an in-depth one or two-year experience (Depending on date of enrollment)
