Megan Wingerberg, Educational Services Director

After receiving her Bachelors of Education from the University of Cincinnati, Megan joined Stepping Stones’ team and has been working with us for two years. She is also currently enrolled in the Masters of Education Leadership program at UC.

Prior to beginning her teaching career, she worked in our popular Summer Day Camp and Saturday Club programs as well as Respites at the Allyn Campus in Batavia.

Currently, Megan leads our Step-Up Autism Alternative Education program. She works with students on a variety of topics, including: building independent work sills, exploring hands-on art and science activities, developing social skills and increasing their self-regulation skills.

In Step-Up, Megan has the opportunity to share in the student’s joy as they grow in their independence, which she says is the most rewarding part of her work.

Outside of Stepping Stones, she enjoys traveling, hiking with her dog, Chance, and skydiving.

ABOUT THE STEP-UP PROGRAM
Our Step-Up Autism Alternative Education program was founded in 2004 as the first of its kind in the region. The year-round program serves students with severe autism who have been unable to succeed in a typical classroom setting.

Step-Up provides each student with a unique, individualized education that helps them excel in their studies while increasing communication and functional living skills.
