Alex Perry, Intervention Specialist

With a Bachelor’s in Special Education, Alex Perry is a certified Intervention Specialist and leads our Transition classroom at the Given Campus in Indian Hill.

She has worked with Stepping Stones since 2019 as a Waterfront Specialist in Summer Day Camp. This summer, she served as Co-Coordinator of the program before joining our year-round staff team this fall.

Recently, Alex’s class has been enjoying afternoon workout sessions at the end of the school day. This time allows students to use communication skills and gross motor movements while exercising! They will soon be able to showcase their skills in the first classroom Olympics!

To Alex, the most rewarding part of her work is getting to know her students more and more each day and celebrating their achievements with them. We appreciate everything Alex does to support our students in achieving their full potential and are so glad to have her on our team.

ABOUT THE STEP-UP PROGRAM
Our Step-Up Autism Alternative Education program was founded in 2004 as the first of its kind in the region. The year-round program serves students with severe autism who have been unable to succeed in a typical classroom setting.

Step-Up provides each student with a unique, individualized education that helps them excel in their studies while increasing communication and functional living skills.
