Adult Day Services Stays Connected Over Zoom

Date posted: November 19, 2020

Like so many this year, Stepping Stones has joined the Zoom bandwagon! The video call platform has been a fantastic tool to keep our program community together while otherwise not being able to meet in person.

Zoom has been especially useful in Adult Day Services, connecting small groups at our three program locations with those who are tuning in from home. Every Wednesday, everyone joins together for a video meet-up that has become a true highlight of the week with lots of laughter to go around.

Participants of the Adult Day program have also been utilizing Zoom to show off their creativity! Over the Halloween season, each of our groups spent a week crafting a “Haunted Village” filled with spooky sites. After completing their haunted neighborhoods, everyone joined together over Zoom to virtually tour one another’s creations. As the holiday season approaches, plans are already underway to also create festive villages with gingerbread houses.

While we very much miss the joy of seeing everyone together in person, we are continually impressed by our staff and participants’ ability to adapt and think outside the box – always finding new ways to stay connected. We are also continually grateful for the Elsa Heisel Sule Charitable Foundation for financially supporting technology in our programs to make these connections possible!!

ABOUT ADULT DAY SERVICES:
