Summer Overnight Staycations are Back in Action with Updated Amenities

On June 6, more than 30 teens and adults with disabilities arrived for five days of adventure at Stepping Stones’ Camp Allyn location in Batavia, Ohio. 

Summer Overnight Staycations offer an enriching program experience where participants develop independence while discovering new skills and bonding with a group of their peers.

With 47 scenic acres, Camp Allyn is the perfect setting for enjoying a break from daily routines! The property includes accessible hiking trails, an archery range, three lakes for boating and fishing, in and sheltered outdoor program spaces, a sensory trail and more. 

Summer Overnight Staycations Offer Updated Amenities for 2021

Stepping Stones has made some exciting amenity updates for Summer Overnight Staycations to enhance the program experience. 

STAY COOL WITH NEW AIR CONDITIONING
To keep everyone cool during the hot summer days ahead, we have installed air conditioning to our dining hall and sleeping cabins that previously did not have AC. 

RELAX AT THE NEW POOL HOUSE AND DECK
Time at the pool this summer will be better than ever thanks to major updates at the pool house — including a new sheltered deck area with tables and chairs for casually relaxing an socializing with peers during swim time. 

MAKE YOUR MARK AT THE ARCHERY RANGE
Thanks to The Abilities Experience, the updated archery range at Camp Allyn features individual stations where participants can safely master their archery skills!

Stepping Stones is hosting nine 5-day Summer Overnight Staycations through August 5.

In Summer Overnight Staycations, participants bond with their peers over enriching activities such as archery, creative arts, fishing and swimming. In the evenings, everyone enjoys bonfires, game nights, talent shows, hot air balloon rides sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cincinnati and more. 

All activities are adaptable to suit each participant’s personal talents. The program also includes highly trained staff, on-site licensed nurses and a commercial kitchen that’s professionally certified to accommodate special dietary needs. 

SERVING: Ages 16 – 64
PROGRAM TIMES: Sunday afternoon through Thursday afternoon
COST: $700 per session

PAYMENT OPTIONS: Stepping Stones accepts Independent Options, Level One and SELF Waivers from the State of Ohio as well as several other third-party funding sources and private pay.
