Stepping Stones Brings Bloom Back In Person To Raise Over $236K

Date posted: September 21, 2021

Stepping Stones hosted its 17th annual Bloom fundraiser on Saturday, September 11 at the Valley View Foundation in Milford. This was the first Bloom held in person since before the pandemic, helping Stepping Stones to raise more than $236,000 Net to benefit year-round programming for children, teens and adults with disabilities.

Event chairs Mendy and Dr. Andrew Ringer hosted the “Boots & Bourbon” themed evening with axe throwing, mechanical bull-riding, bourbon tastings, a silent auction featuring premiere packages, dinner by Cincinnati’s best food trucks and live music by Catalina Wine Mixer. Supporters wore their best western country-style clothing and showed off their favorite boots.

“This year’s event was completely reimagined with fun, interactive activities for our Boots & Bourbon theme,” said Mendy Ringer, event chair. “We’re so grateful that we were able to celebrate in person and we look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s event!”

The event’s diamond sponsors were August A. Rendigs, Jr. Foundation, Susie & Neil Bortz, Chemed Foundation, Huntington Bank, the Pettengill Family and Mendy & Dr. Andrew Ringer. Platinum sponsors were Beth & Doug Brendamour of Brendamour Warehousing and Jeanne & Bob Coughlin.
