Summer Camp Volunteer Opportunities

After a two-year hiatus, Stepping Stones is delighted to once again offer summer camp volunteer opportunities at two of our beautiful Greater Cincinnati locations. 

Volunteers have always been cherished members of our camp community and as we celebrate our 60th summer program season — we are excited to welcome them back in Day Camp at our Given Campus (Indian Hill) and Overnight Camp at the Allyn Campus (Batavia). 

Individuals age 13 or above who meet service requirements can now apply for Summer 2022 volunteer shifts! Engage participants in art, music, sensory and nature activities as well as summer favorites like fishing and swimming. 

• Earn service hours while enjoying a rewarding camp experience
• Support participants in creative and team-building activities
• Develop important life skills like adaptability. 

To protect our entire program community, volunteers must have the ability to display appropriate behavior at all times and respect everyone’s boundaries and level of ability. 

IS PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH DISABILITIES REQUIRED?
No! Upon arrival on your first shift, our Volunteer Coordinator will lead an orientation sharing everything you need to know and answer any questions you may have. 

ARE GROUP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE?
Yes! Stepping Stones is accepting groups of up to 25 volunteers in summer camp. If you’d like to coordinate a community service day for your church, school, work or other organization – start by contacting us at Volunteer@SteppingStonesOhio.org. 

SUMMER 2022 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Summer Day Camp

Our signature Summer Day Camp program provides nine weeks of fun and adventure for campers age 5 – 22 with disabilities. 

Volunteers age 13 and are above are invited to join us for the day at our Given Campus in Indian Hill. As a volunteer, you’ll be matched to a group and engage campers in art, nature, swimming and other summer activities while being part of an inclusive environment.

TIME: 8:45 am – 3:15 pm
AGES: Must be age 13 or above
WHEN: Weekdays from June 6 – August 5, 2022 

Summer Overnight Camp

Additionally, Stepping Stones has summer camp volunteer opportunities at our scenic 47-acre Camp Allyn located in Batavia.  

Volunteers age 16 and above are welcome to engage participants of our overnight program in archery, art, fishing and swimming activities during the daytime. Evening shifts are also available for volunteers to support participants in events like a talent show, game night, dance party or other program event.
