Meet Nancy Aichholz – Stepping Stones Supporter

Nancy Aichholz and her family have been active supporters of Stepping Stones for many years, but Nancy’s history with the agency goes back even further. Nancy was first introduced to Stepping Stones as a child when her dad was a volunteer. She recalls going with him to visit the Given campus and even doing summer projects there with her girl scout troop. Nancy says that these experiences, and her involvement with the Junior League of Cincinnati, helped to solidify her commitment to philanthropy.

Nancy was reintroduced to Stepping Stones in 2004 when she and her husband David were approached to host Bloom, Stepping Stones’ signature fundraiser. There was an urgent need for a venue, and the Aichholz family was more than willing to help by hosting the event at their home. In 2013, the Aichholz family hosted Bloom again and Nancy’s three kids still consider the Bloom events at their home a highlight of their childhood. Nancy continues to support all of Stepping Stones’ special events, serving as the Bloom event chair in 2022 and 2023. Now, she continues to serve on the Bloom committee and is on the Stepping Stones Board of Trustees.

When asked about her inspiration to support Stepping Stones, Nancy says, “Now, the inspiration comes from knowing people who utilize the services Stepping Stones provides, knowing the incredible dedication of the staff, and the precious gift of all the longtime dedicated volunteers. Knowing that we fill a need that no one organization fills, for some super special people, keeps me engaged and rewarded as a volunteer.”

Outside of her philanthropic work Nancy likes to spend time with her husband, her kids and their spouses, and her dog Tulip. They love going to the beach outside of Charleston, SC together every summer. Nancy is a big fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan. She has a passion for running businesses and is the founder/owner of That’s So Sweet! which is a growing bakery that specializes in a unique line of cookies and cakes. They are the “Official Cookies” of the Cincinnati Bengals and ship nationwide.
