Meet Gail & Fred Fischer – Stepping Stones Supporters

Gail and Fred Fischer have been involved with Stepping Stones since 1983. Fred was first introduced to Stepping Stones through the Rotary Club of Cincinnati. He served as a longtime board member and as board President several times. During their time with Stepping Stones, they have seen the agency grow from primarily a summer camp facility with two campuses to a year-round agency with four campuses across the city.

Gail and Fred are particularly touched by the families that Stepping Stones serves. They are passionate about supplying respite for the family members and caretakers of our program participants. Throughout the years, Gail and Fred have supported countless Stepping Stones’ events and are always willing to volunteer their time where it is needed.

Outside of their philanthropic work, Gail and Fred enjoy spending time with their family and attending their grandchildren’s sporting events. They have season tickets to the Cincinnati Reds and enjoy going to games together. Gail is an expert quilter and contributes numerous quilts or blankets where there are needs. Their favorite place to travel is Captiva Island, Florida where Fred is an avid fisherman.
