Summer Program Life at the Allyn Campus

Date posted: June 26, 2015

Summer is underway at our Allyn Campus, and we’ve had some awesome activities and events!

At our Allyn Day Camp, swimming in the pool is a favorite activity, but we have lots of other fun activities during the day! We got a new volleyball net that has been a hit. We’ve made clay sculptures, gone on scavenger hunts, had dance parties, and so much more! Even on rainy days, we like to make art projects, listen to music, and have an epic balloon volleyball game. For our Cincinnati-themed week, we had a mini-marathon–there were different challenges around camp, and each group had to do each challenge and then run through the finish line! We also had a foam party out here; there was a massive inflatable pit of bubbles, and it was so fun to hang out and play in.

Our overnight Staycations have been a blast! Our Amazing Race was packed with adventures. One of our international staff members taught us some international recipes from New Zealand. We fired off bows and arrows, went boating and fishing, swam in the pool, painted a mural, and performed in an epic talent show. During Wild Wild West Week, we had a Murder Mystery night, made dream catchers, and painted desert silhouettes. We even did udder painting and learned line dances!

Overnight Staycation participants are always so grateful to the Rotary of Cincinnati for our hot air balloon rides!

We hope to be seeing you at one of our day camps or stay-cations soon! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see what adventures we’ll be up to next!
