Help Bring a New Miniature Golf Course to Camp Allyn

Stepping Stones is working to bring a new accessible miniature golf course to Camp Allyn — and needs your help!
Located in Batavia, Stepping Stones’ 46-acre Camp Allyn location serves more than 400 teens and adults with disabilities annually. Individuals from more than 25 Ohio counties come to Camp Allyn to find adventure in a safe, outdoor setting. The scenic property has accessible dorm-style sleeping cabins, a commercial kitchen, dining hall, archery range, outdoor swimming pool, three lakes for boating & fishing activities and accessible trails for hiking.
Camp Allyn also includes an existing miniature golf course that is 20 years old, is in a state of disrepair and does not meet current standards of accessibility.
Project Proposal: A New Accessible Miniature Golf Course
- Major renovation and relocation of existing Camp Allyn miniature golf course
- 9-hole mini golf course with wide and level pathways
- Fully accessible and passable for individuals using a wheelchair, walker or other mobility device.
The Accessible Miniature Golf Course Will:
- Meet an unmet need of the community as the first fully accessible miniature golf course in Southwestern Ohio.
- Provide an enjoyable and competitive activity for participants of Stepping Stones’ programs.
- Create a space in the community for outside groups, local schools & provider agencies to participate in an outdoor recreational activity they previously did not have access to.
- Provide a physical activity that has many health benefits, including improved coordination and mental health.
