Weekend Respites Off to Good Start

We had our first Fall Respite last weekend at Camp Allyn near Batavia, OH. The weather was beautiful for the nearly 40 people who attended. This was the first Respite weekend; with about two scheduled each month through May, 2014. This week’s theme was Oktoberfest. Participants enjoyed a typical autumn festival on Saturday evening, they built scarecrows, played basketball and corn hole and dined on brats and sauerkraut. They even had live music; a staff member sang and played guitar. Here are some photos from the event.
