Art and Talent Show at the Allyn Campus

Participants of the Tour d’Arts Getaway entertained staff, family and guests on Wednesday, July 23rd with the annual Art and Talent show. The show is in its 8th year at the Allyn Campus and gives each participant the opportunity to shine!

During their 10-day stay at the Allyn Campus, participants prepared for the show by creating personal artwork and rehearsing live performances. Everyone came together to put on a great show! Art pieces included natural mosaics made with wood and stones, paintings using various techniques, and even a beautiful chandalier which was the showpiece of the event.

Guests enjoyed three live performances, including a dance to ‘The Single Ladies’ by Beyonce and an ensemble performance of A Hard Knock Life from the musical Annie. Lucy, a participant of the Tour d’Arts Getaway, gave a moving performance of Miley Cyrus’s The Climb, inviting her best friend to join her on stage.

The event also premiered the first film made by Stepping Stones’ participants. The silent film Freedom Games was filmed and edited by participants during their stay.  

It was a lively and entertaining show and all of our participants did an excellent job!
