On December 4, Stepping Stones partnered with Movement Mortgage to host a Bowling Night at Eastgate Lanes in Loveland! The first-time event featured a fun bowling competition for the highest score, raffle prizes, all-you-can-eat pizza and more. It was a great night at the bowling alley, raising support for Stepping Stones' programs.
This fall, participants of the UCP Adult Day program hosted a largely successful food drive! Partnering with neighboring families and Norwood locations of Kroger, Marshall's and Pizza Hut they collected countless non-perishable food and personal care items. On Nov. 15, a group of adults personally delivered their large donation to St. George Food Pantry in Clifton!
On November 6, Pizza Hut general managers from across Greater Cincinnati made a special visit to our Adult Day program in Norwood! Treating our participants to the secret on how to make the perfect pizza, the GMs volunteered to help participants make their own personal pizzas. While they baked? Everyone satisfied their sweet tooth by decorating sugar cookies. Thank you to Greater Cincinnati's Pizza Hut franchisee CFL Pizza for visiting our program!
On Saturday, October 10 – more than 60 fishermen and families enjoyed sunny skies at the Fishing Derby! Our Given Campus’s lake is well-stocked from summer camp, making for some steep competition and fun for the entire family. The fishing event featured biggest catch prizes, a wide selection of raffle prizes and raised $2,250 to support Stepping Stones’ Adult Day program.
Leaves are turning, acorns are falling, autumn is finally here! Our beautiful fall weather has made outdoor activities in Saturday Clubs so much fun! Seeing our summer camp friends back at Stepping Stones while welcoming new faces has made Saturdays extra special for all of our participants.
On a summer-like day in late September, Station House 82 of the Norwood Fire Department visited our Adult Program to cook up a delicious breakfast for our staff. They brought along one of their trucks and gave all of our participants a first-class tour, including some snappy autographed fire hats as souvenirs! Station 82 also partnered with our United Way Campaign drive by making a generous donation. Big thanks to them for all they do for our program as neighbors, friends and community partners!
The 13th annual Bloom, presented by Huntington Bank, was a tremendous success! More than 460 guests enjoyed a night under the stars at Greenacres Arts Center. The gala featured live-music by Swampthang, dancing, tapas by more than 20 restaurants, cocktails, a premier silent auction and a live campership drive.
