Step-Up Students Master Martial Arts Skills with Master Strickland

Students of our Step-Up Autism Alternative Education program have resumed in-person martial arts classes with Master Strickland of Cincinnati Martial Arts Club! These weekly sessions empower our students to build confidence while developing their agility, balance and coordination.

Stepping Stones' Step-Up program was financially assisted by generous support from the John Hauck Foundation, Fifth Third Bank, John W. Hauck and Narley L. Haley, Co-Trustees.

LaSalle High School Freshmen and Fathers Volunteer at Stepping Stones

This fall, Stepping Stones was glad to welcome three volunteer groups from LaSalle High School! The community service projects were part of LaSalle's Freshmen Day of Renewal, where students and their fathers volunteer at partnering nonprofit organizations around Greater Cincinnati.

Small groups from LaSalle visited our Drex Campus on Sept. 18 and Oct. 2, completing a car wash and landscaping projects. On Oct. 9, we hosted a third group at our Parkcrest Campus in Western Hills. They were the first volunteers to lend helping hands at this new location and were a big help - clearing quite a bit of brush. We give a big thank you to all of the LaSalle students and fathers for their support this season!

Michelman Volunteers at Stepping Stones Given Campus

On Sept. 25, a crew of six Michelman volunteers stepped out of the office for a day at Stepping Stones! The group was a big help to our maintenance team, lending helping hands at our 23-acre Given Campus in Indian Hill.

During their time at Stepping Stones, the Michelman volunteers made updates to a fenced area beside Hillside Hall and raked up the many leaves that have already fallen on our playground.
