On May 22, our BeauVita West Adult Day program enjoyed a private tour of the Colerain Pizza Hut! It was a wonderful opportunity for participants to gain first-hand experience in a commercial kitchen and connect with Pizza Hut staff.
This spring, Stepping Stones is also partnering with 30 Greater Cincinnati Pizza Hut to raise support for our year-round programs.
On May 11, Stepping Stones hosted the 2nd annual Sporting Clays Tournament at Sycamore Pheasant Club in Loveland. 134 shooters enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day with food by local favorites Jersey Mike's and Flipdaddy's, refreshing drinks, live-music and a fantastic raffle. The second annual event netted more than $56,000 for Stepping Stones' programs, 71% growth over last year's inaugural tournament.

Participants of the Allyn Campus Adult Day program were in for a special treat when they toured the Amelia Pizza Hut store on a community outing. The group learned about the operations of the local pizza shop, how to work the equipment and got to try their hand at cooking by creating personalized pan pizzas.
On April 31, West Side Brewing hosted a "Cheers for Charity" event to support Stepping Stones! More than 60 supporters, volunteers and staff enjoyed a large selection of craft beers, a coney bar and games. Guests also purchased tickets to support Stepping Stones and enter to win outstanding raffle prizes and a split-the-pot drawing. The successful brewing event was a fun night out and raised more than $1,000 to support our programs.
It’s National Volunteer Week and time to celebrate ALL of our fantastic Program volunteers, who come in all shapes and sizes, from therapy dogs and mini-ponies to moms, dads, and siblings, as well as our corporate partners and community groups. Each year, more than 1,500 of these individuals bring a friendly face, a welcoming smile and a helping hand to our programs, creating a best-ever experience for our participants. Thanks for all you do!
In honor of National Volunteer Week, Stepping Stones recognizes the almost 300 volunteers who shared their time and talents to raise support for Stepping Stones at fundraising events this year. Together, we raised more than $550,000!! Thank you for being a part of our winning volunteer team and championing Stepping Stones in the Greater Cincinnati community.
Participants of Stepping Stones’ Adult Day program in Norwood got in touch with their creative sides with a community-wide art project. The adults invited local businesses to sponsor a flower pot statue would be uniquely designed to match each business’s mission. After weeks of work in the art studio, participants are now unveiling the completed works of art just in time for spring!
Thank you to the 16 participating businesses and groups for partnering with our participants for such a creative, fun art project.
On March 7th, Stepping Stones partnered with Rhinegeist Brewery for Charitable Suds! From 5 to 8 pm, guests enjoyed the Over-the-Rhine brewery's 15 craft beers, mingled with friends and coworkers and played cornhole. Thank you to everyone who attended and raised a glass to support Stepping Stones' programs for children and adults with disabilities.
