On Friday, August 9, Greater Cincinnati construction companies came together in the spirit of giving back and making a positive difference in their community! A team of thirty-three professionals from thirteen agencies spent the day volunteering at Stepping Stones’ summer day camp for children and teens with disabilities.

August kicked-off with a two-day talent show extravaganza at Summer Day Camp! The festivities began on Aug. 1 with the teens performing their hearts out in Hillside Hall. From 'Eye of the Tiger' to 'Gangnam Style', the soundtrack was filled with variety and all eight groups brought something different to the stage.

Then, our Kids Camp groups sung and danced their way into the weekend at their Friday morning talent show. From 'High School Musical' to 'Moana', Disney was definitely in the house and everyone enjoyed singing, dancing and drumming along.

Our Summer Day Camp celebrated Christmas in July with a surprise visitor from the North Pole! While vacationing in the area, Santa stopped by Stepping Stones to mingle with campers and students of the Step-Up program.

There's just five months to go till Christmas all of our participants received confirmation from the man himself that they're officially on the nice list.

On Tuesday, July 23, FC Cincinnati's ambassador player Omar Cummings joined Stepping Stones at Summer Day Camp! The visit was a surprise to all of our campers, who had so much fun joining him on the field for soccer drills. They also learned about the teamwork and kindness involved in playing the game of soccer and got expert tips from the pro himself.

Omar Cummings and FC Cincinnati's visit was also a celebration of National Camp Kindness Day. Founded by the American Camping Association, the day celebrates big and small acts of kindness in our local communities. Thank you to Omar and FC Cincinnati for Kindly joining us for such a fun and special visit!

Participants of our Overnight Staycation program at Camp Allyn were in for a special treat on July 17th with an evening bluegrass concert. The eight-person band Kinner Express performed a set of classic favorites in Pettengill Hall as our participants danced and sung along.

Every evening, our Overnight Staycation participants come together for a program-wide activity at Camp Allyn! One of our favorite things to do this summer? Host games nights.

From playing Black Jack and Bingo to dance competition and games of Jenga, our participants are able to choose whatever game they like best and enjoy a little friendly competition.

At Stepping Stones, Independence Day came one day early at our annual 3rd of July picnic!

Participants of the UCP and BeauVita Adult Day programs enjoyed an afternoon of festivities with lots of sunshine! Families were also invited to join in the celebration, that included a photo station, dunking booth, dancing to a DJ and more carnival games. Happy Fourth!

Participants from all three Adult Day Services locations came together at Camp Allyn for a spirited karaoke contest! From Whitney Houston to the Rascal Flatts, participants were able to perform hits from their favorite singers. Keeping cool on a hot summer day, everyone also enjoyed fresh snow cones before an award ceremony with trophies! Congrats to all the contest winners and bravo to everyone who participated.

The 2019 Golf Classic was presented by Niagara Bottling and netted more than $81,000 for Stepping Stones' programs.

Held Monday, June 10 - a record 188 golfers attended the 18th annual event at O'Bannon Creek Golf Club. The tournament featured a morning and afternoon flight, a series of surprises, live-music, a premier raffle and more.
