Afternoon rain showers didn't hold back the creativity of our groups! Everyone made dragon eggs out of clay and decorated them with paint and beads. Here Emily works on hers, opting for a green base.
Eric paints his dragon's egg.
Jeff stayed cool in the shade.
It was Marina's first time attending an Overnight Staycation at Stepping Stones and she had so much fun -- she's already looking forward to next summer!
Michael and his bunkmates also made their own trolls, shaping socks into a base and then using hot clue to add eyes and other features.
Ben puts the finishing touches on his troll by giving in a hair cut!
Moriah works on her dragon egg.
Rachel was especially creative and mixed together several covers of paint for a neat swirled effect.
During the Overnight Staycation, our four small groups independently worked on imagining and constructing their own version of a UFO. Their finished works were placed on display in Pettengill Hall for everyone to see the other groups' work and our judging panel handed out awards.
Congrats to Aspen, who got especially creative by adding Aliens to their UFO. They won the award for "Best Aliens."
The Buckeye cabin took home the award for the UFO "Most Likely to Blast Off"
Our Oak cabin's UFO sported a patriotic American flag and took home the prize for "Most Creative".
Congrats to our Willow cabin for winning "Best Teamwork" for their creation.
