On January 19, Summit Country Day volunteers brought the gift of art to Saturday Kids Club!
Over their fall semester, the student Art Club painted a collection of more than fifty canvases. In the spirit of giving back, they dedicated the collection to our Kids Club. Each participant received a colorful painting to enjoy at home.
Old friends are the best friends, and on December 14th, staff and Adult participants at our Norwood campus celebrated the 15th annual Holiday Party hosted by our friends at Ethicon/Johnson & Johnson. The day included singing Christmas carols, playing Bingo, holiday games and special visits from Buddy The Elf and Elf-is, who serenaded us with classic Elvis holiday songs. It was a great day of sharing holiday traditions with a valued community partner!
On December 11, participants of our Adult Day program at Camp Allyn celebrated the festive season with a joyous holiday party.
Organized by community volunteer Todd Little, the holiday bash featured caroling with the 7 Hills Church choir, dancing, a visit from Santa Claus, presents, a pizza party, holiday ornament decorating and more.
The spirit of this season is truly found in giving back to others. We are sending special thanks from the bottom of our hearts to our board president John Mongelluzzo and his Calfee, Halter & Griswold team for creating such a wonderful experience for our participants at December 1st's Saturday Kids Club.
A special visit from Santa Claus added to the magic of the day and filled our hearts top to bottom with the joy of the holiday season.
