Join the “Creative Crew” Team!Stepping Stones has summer job openings to support the Overnight Staycation program at Camp Allyn! These positions are perfect for college students looking for a rewarding job experience during their summer break.
Our counselors are a group of enthusiastic individuals who strive to make a difference! Some of our staff come with a background in special education, social work or therapeutic recreation. Other members of our staff team have little to no previous experience working with individuals with disabilities — and that’s okay!
We will gladly train you on everything you need to know to perform your role well.
The Overnight Staycation “Creative Crew” team is responsible for creating lasting memories, encouraging inclusion and engaging participants in a variety of adaptive programs. Team members are compassionate individuals who are willing and able to assist with lifting, repositioning, meals and all other personal care needs. The skills you will learn while working at Stepping Stones will help you navigate through life!
Location: Allyn Campus (1414 Lake Allyn Road, Batavia, Ohio 45103)
Program Dates: Summer Overnight Staycations run through August 9, 2019.
Ages Served: The program serves a large variety of individuals with disabilities – with participants age 12 through adulthood.

Summer Job Openings in the Overnight Staycation ProgramHead Counselor:
Responsible for staff leadership, ensuring safety, providing personal care to participants, organizing participants’ belongings, planning and leading activities, completing paperwork, behavior intervention and parent/caregiver interactions.
Responsible for providing personal care to participants, building strong relationships with participants, completing paperwork, parent/caregiver interactions and ensuring safety.
Responsible for leading activities in one or more program areas (i.e. creative arts, music, life skills, sports & games, nature and sensory), adapting activities to meet he individuals abilities of campers and assisting groups with the care of participants while ensuring safety at all times.
Camp Allyn has an indoor swimming pool as well as three lakes for boating and fishing activities. Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining safety during all water activities.
