Stepping Stones’ Camp Allyn Steps Into National Spotlight

Camp Allyn Gets National Recognition by The American Dream Network and Kristen Hess-Winters I Cincinnati, Ohio

InFocus Real Estate Group’s Principal Broker Kristen Hess-Winters interviews Executive Director Chris Adams at Camp Allyn with realtor Erin Abbott and videographer Lorenzo Jackson.

Last month, Stepping Stones’ Camp Allyn received national recognition when InFocus Real Estate Group’s Principal Broker Kristen Hess-Winters toured the 47-acre Batavia property in her debut episode of The American Dream.

The national television series has thirty-eight successful spinoffs and highlights the lifestyle and real estate of cities across the country. Cincinnati’s show on The American Dream network is currently in its fifth season and cast Hess-Winters as a contributor to showcase great things happening in our community.

A Passion for Camp Allyn

Ever since she first volunteered on a project at Camp Allyn in 2017, Kristen Hess-Winters has had a passion for the location’s programs. Since, she has forged a long-term partnership with Stepping Stones where she and her team at InFocus Real Estate Group routinely volunteer in the weekday Adult Day program. They also generously donate a percentage of their commissions to benefit Camp Allyn’s year-round programming.

“Stepping Stones is one of those organizations that do quiet work in the background helping those with disabilities experience life in color,” shared Hess-Winters when asked why she chose to visit Stepping Stones in her first segment on The American Dream.

“I could not imagine having Stepping Stones as part of our community and the contribution they provide to our loved ones with disabilities.

Movement Mortgage Employees Launch Volunteer Effort at Camp Allyn

Movement Mortgage Volunteers at Camp Allyn I Stepping Stones Ohio

Toddy and Brady Little

On May 6, Movement Mortgage staff and their families set out to beautify Camp Allyn!

A team of 60 volunteers completed a variety of projects around campus to spruce up the grounds for the busy summer camp season ahead! They spread mulch, removed tree stumps, worked on landscaping and stained picnic tables and benches.

“We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to be part of the Movement Mortgage Change for Camp Allyn,” said Todd Little, a Movement Mortgage loan officer who organized the day’s large volunteer effort. “It was phenomenal to have 60 people, including many families, come out to support a great cause.”

In addition to the full day of work, Movement Mortgage hosted a raffle that raised more than $850 – enough to fund a full “campership” for a young camper to attend summer camp. They also have plans to renovate Camp Allyn’s miniature golf course and have submitted a proposal to their corporate Movement Foundation for a $10,000 for additional projects at Camp Allyn.

Thank you to Movement Mortgage and the following sponsoring businesses for making this day a tremendous success! Partnering sponsors include: Allstate Insurance, Auxier, Coldwell Banker, Colorful Cupboard, Constructive Living, Dickey’s Barbeque Pit, Home Depot, Hytech Automotive, Leaf Guard, Parker Custom Painting, TJ’s Landscaping and Tombstone Cycles.
