My name is Katie Scholp and I am a new year-round Coordinator of Recreation and Leisure at Camp Allyn.  Dottie remains as a Coordinator at Camp Allyn and we will be working closely together to lead programs and ensure that all participants are safe and enjoying their time in our programs!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself! I was born and raised in San Francisco, California with my parents and sister. I was on basketball, volleyball, track and field, softball and swimming teams at some point throughout school. I was in student government on our services commission and helped plan food drives, fundraisers for Breathe California and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and helped organize a Relay for Life for the county I lived in at the time. My time on the services commission helped me find my love: service. I loved being able to serve others and feel like I was helping make the world a better place one project at a time.

I then went to Mills College in Oakland, California. I participated on the volleyball and swimming teams, was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, part of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, a teaching assistant and more. I graduated with a Bachelor or Arts in Political, Legal and Economic Analysis with emphasis in Economic Analysis as well as completing pre-med courses.

For the past three years I have served and worked at Easter Seals Wisconsin Camp Wawbeek and Respite Camp. I have been everything from a counselor, to lifeguard, to ropes course staff, to trips and travel coordinator and more.
I am truly excited to meet each and every one of our participants and staff and have a blast this summer and for years to come!
Let the fun begin!

At Camp Allyn, I will be taking on a Human Resources type role as Coordinator and my main responsibilities will be geared toward recruiting, hiring and training seasonal and part-time staff, overseeing paperwork and ensuring that programs are organized and running smoothly!

I love camp. Camp changed my life. CAMP IS AWESOME. I can’t wait to immerse myself in all parts of running camp–getting to know participants, meeting our staff, singing camp songs, and sitting around a campfire. I can’t wait for summer to get here!
