Minor LeBlond Co-Founder of Stepping StonesStepping Stones’ co-founder and dear friend, Minor LeBlond, died on Friday. We mourn her loss and celebrate her life, which changed and continues to change so many lives.

Minor LeBlond founded Stepping Stones with her friend, Peggy Geier, in 1963, creating Greater Cincinnati’s first day camp welcoming children with any kind of disability. Friday, the day she died, Stepping Stones completed its 51st camp season, where we served more than 450 children with disabilities. Their laughter, their friendships, their confidence and their successes are part of her continuing legacy.

The agency she created and loved now serves more than 1,000 children, teens and adults with disabilities at three campuses.  We would not be here without Minor LeBlond’s energy, determination, creativity, leadership and abiding friendship.
