Thank for Opening Your Heart

Close to 220 guests wore romance on their sleeves — and ties and jackets and dresses — at Stepping Stones’ annual Valentine-themed Open Yourt Heart fund raising dinner, Feb. 3 at Eddie Merlot’s restaurant in Montgomery. The event raised more than $83,000 to support Stepping Stones’ programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities. 

The crowd dressed for the Valentine season to enjoy a gourmet dinner and raffle. Tables were strewn with vintage Valentines and guests dined on Filet Mignon with red wine demi-glace and pan roasted salmon with hollandaise accompanied by Dauphinoise potates and grilled asparagus. Dinner concluded with Eddie Merlot’s signature Red Velvet cupcake with raspberry drizzle. 

The Open Your Heart planning committee included Tisha Wright of Morrow, Ohio; Anne Davies of Terrace Park and Mary McGraw of Indian Hill.
