Stepping Stones’ Adult Day Program Participants Complete Community Service Projects — from a Distance!

Participants of Stepping Stones’ Adult Day Services program in Batavia are once again lending helping hands in their local community!

Throughout the pandemic, our program participants have missed routinely volunteering at neighborhood organizations like the Cincinnati Nature Center. They enjoyed cultivating relationships within the fellow Clermont County organization prior to COVID-19 and have missed visiting to assist with various outreach projects. 

While we are still maintaining a social distance and not yet visiting their offices in person, Adult Day Program Manager Diana Sullender thought outside the box and found a way our small groups can complete volunteer projects from afar! She recently picked up print materials that showcase the Nature Center’s membership options in an upcoming mailing. Back on our campus, participants then set up an assembly lined and socialized with their peers while putting informational packets together that will be returned to CNC for mailing.

In addition to the Cincinnati Nature Center, our Adult Day program at Camp Allyn has also teamed up with Angio’s Pizza in Madison Place to help with folding pizza boxes. 

The community aspect of our day program brings so much joy to our participants as they take pride in the value of their work! We are glad to continue supporting our community friends and look forward to seeing them in person down the line!
