Cincinnati Country Day Students Volunteer in Stepping Stones Adult Day Program
Date posted: October 6, 2021
On September 24, forty Cincinnati Country Day students visited Stepping Stones for a day of community service!
Groups of juniors visited our Allyn Campus (Batavia) and Drex Campus (Norwood) for some fun and learning in our Adult Day program. They enjoyed beautiful weather while partnering up with participants on the basketball court and rounds of outdoor bowling. They also lent major helping hands to our maintenance team by executing a car wash – cleaning a fleet of vehicles used on outings around town.
In the afternoon, the students also led an autumn-themed game of Bingo – where everyone had to match fall favorites like football, pumpkins and cornstalks.
The day of service was also a happy milestone – making Cincinnati Country Day students the first to volunteer in our program since March 2020. Our participants have missed the presence of volunteers and the joy they bring to our program. Meeting and connecting with new friendly faces is a tradition we have missed and one we are glad to continue!
Stepping Stones thanks all of the Cincinnati Country Day students and organizers for their support!
