Stepping Stones’ First Hybrid Event Nets Over $86K

Date posted: February 16, 2022

Stepping Stones hosted its 14th annual Open Your Heart fundraiser on February 8, 2022, in a brand new, hybrid format. Stepping Stones netted more than $86,000 to benefit year-round programming for children, teens and adults with disabilities.

Supporters gathered in person at Eddie Merlot’s for a cocktail hour and a delicious dinner with a premier raffle and artwork created by Stepping Stones program participants. Other supporters enjoyed their meals from Eddie Merlot’s in the comfort of their own homes. At-home supporters bought raffle tickets online, purchased pottery kits for participants and donated to Stepping Stones’ Campership drive.

“We are so grateful to the community for supporting Stepping Stones and embracing our hybrid format,” said Patti Zesch, event chair. “This year we sold more tickets than we ever have before and I look forward to seeing Open Your Heart continue to grow in future years.”

The event’s presenting sponsor was Convalescent Hospital Fund for Children. Cherub sponsors were Dora & Charles Barrett, Amy & George Joseph and Dina & Chris Taylor.

There’s still time to support their life-strengthening programs by making a general donation. For media inquiries, please contact Adam Hesselbrock at 513-965-3051 or email Adam.Hesselbrock@SteppingStonesOhio.Org.
