Mount Notre Dame Student Catherine Graeu Leads Capstone Project at Stepping StonesIt’s official! Summer Day Camp is back in session at Stepping Stones’ Given Campus in Indian Hill — providing children and teens with nine weeks of fun and adventure.

In the second week of camp, Mount Notre Dame student Catherine Graue provided refreshing fun for campers as she led a capstone project at the waterfront. Camper groups hit a soapy slip n’ slide that was much-enjoyed in the summer heat!

Catherine is a certified lifeguard heading into her senior year at MND. She selected Stepping Stones as a favorite organization who champions inclusion and planned a three-day activity as a special guest on the program schedule. Her activity was designed to help participants feel more comfortable around water. In addition to leading the activity, she also recruited volunteers from school to lend support our program.

From using inner tubes and getting a running head start to sliding on their backs and fronts, participants had fun experimenting with trial and error how to pick up the most speed on the water slide. They also enjoyed some friendly competition with races.

Thank you, Catherine, for bringing joy to our camp community and selected Stepping Stones as the focus of your capstone project.
