I am happy to introduce you all to Abigail “Abby” Rodenfels-the Day Camp Assistant Coordinator at the Allyn Campus!

This is Abby’s second summer with us-her first year with us she was the Day Camp Supervisor! She also spent this past Fall, Winter and Spring season working with our Sensory Needs Respite program.

Abby attended the College of Wooster and double majored in Religious Studies and Early Childhood Education. She spent this past year in Xenia Community Schools as a reading and math intervention teacher. After this summer she will be moving out to Philadelphia to begin teaching 4th and 5th grade students!

When asked what made her want to work with Stepping Stones again this summer, Abby said “I love seeing participants grow, and working Respites this past year made me see that there is no where else I’d rather be than at camp with some of the best people I know!”

Some other fun facts about Abby are that her favorite color is sunshine yellow, her favorite camp meal is fajitas, and a fun fact about her is that she is a vegetarian!

We are so happy that Abby is back this summer –she did such a great job last year as a supervisor and is continuing that streak of excellence this year!
