Summer Volunteer Opportunities working with individuals with disabilities at Stepping Stones in Cincinnati, Ohio
As we look forward to our 2026 summer camp season, we are excited to announce volunteer opportunities in both our Summer Day Camp at our Given Campus (Indian Hill) and Overnight Staycation programs at Camp Allyn for children, teens and adults with disabilities. Volunteers are a big help to our staff team and bring a lot of joy to our camp day. We’d love to welcome you in our camp community!

Individuals over the age of 13 who meet service requirements can register for summer volunteer shifts! To protect our program community, all volunteers must have the ability to display appropriate behavior at all times and respect everyone’s boundaries and level of ability. 

  • Earn service hours while enjoying a rewarding experience
  • Engage participants in art, sensory and nature activities as well as summer favorites like swimming and fishing
  • Support participants in creative and team-building activities
  • Develop important life skills like adaptability

Summer Day Camp
Given Campus in Indian Hill

Stepping Stones’ signature Summer Day Camp program has proudly served children and teens with disabilities since 1963!  Our summer program season kicks off in June 2026 with nine weeks of fun for campers age 5 – 18 with developmental disabilities. 

Volunteers age 13 and above are invited to engage campers in a variety of summer activities while being part of a positive and inclusive environment. Choose your volunteer days on a schedule that works for you!

TIME: 8:45 am – 3:15 pm
AGES: Must be age 13 or above 
WHEN: Weekdays June 1st – July 31st 

Summer Overnight Camp
Allyn Campus in Batavia

Volunteers age 16 and above are welcome to engage participants of our overnight camp program at Camp Allyn in archery, art, fishing and swimming activities during the daytime. Evening shifts are also open for volunteers to support  events like a talent show, game night, dance party or other program event.

AGES: Volunteers age 16 and above
WHEN: Sunday – Thursday, May 31st – July 30th (No Camp Week of June 29th – July 3rd)

SHIFT OPTIONS:
  • Monday – Thursday; 9:45 am – 1 pm
  • Monday – Wednesday; 4 pm – 8 pm
