Intervention Specialist (Step Up)
This year-round position is responsible for the education of students on the autism spectrum and training/managing of educational aides. Prepares instruction following the Ohio Extended State Academic Standards and increasing daily living, vocational and community based skills. Maintains classroom organization, and structure. Provides interventions as needed to meet student’s behavioral/social-emotional needs. Works with students, IEP team and parents to provide a positive learning experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Communicate professionally and effectively with school districts, related service providers, educational aides, and parents.
- Plan meaningful and age-appropriate lessons that meet student IEP goals and are aligned with the Ohio Extended Learning Standards.
- Involve parents and home school to the degree necessary to provide quality programming for each student.
- Assist School Psychologist with the development of an ETR.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all documents and personal information.
- Develop Individual Education Plans, Behavioral Plans, and Functional Behavior Assessments.
- Progress monitoring and reporting on student IEP goals and objectives monthly.
- Demonstrate a collaborative relationship with educational aides through effective coaching strategies.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Ensure completion of all documentation for each student, including those records required by home school district.
- Maintain and keep current all professional licensing and related certifications.
- Provide continuous staff feedback, collaboration, and coaching to ensure Educational Aides are working at the highest level possible.
- Provide behavior prevention and intervention as needed.
- Maintain classroom supplies and materials at an appropriate level.
- Fill in as needed for Educational Aides.
- Provide training to newly hired Educational Aides
- Carry out other instructions which are consistent with the general responsibilities with the position.
- Other items as assigned by the Education Service Director.
Deliverables:
- Complete IEPs for all students by deadline assigned.
- Complete progress reports for students quarterly.
- Complete Crisis Plans, FBA, BIPS and for new students and update for current students as determined necessary
- Complete frequent program monitoring of students.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related subject.
- Current K-12 Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- Ability to work closely with aides, volunteers, and other support staff.
Staff Accountant
Reports To: Director of Finance
Classification: Hourly – Non-Exempt
Overview: This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of subsidiary ledger for the Cash Cycle functions.
Essential Functions:
· Ability to use a computer continuously throughout the day.
· Ability to prepare and maintain written documentation and reports as needed.
· Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees, parents, vendors, and external agencies.
· Ability to manage client and vendor relationships.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Maintains daily cash reporting and account categorization for general ledger.
· Processes remote deposits and files corresponding supporting documents.
· Prepares bank reconciliations and cash flow reports.
· Review and summarize attendance records using spreadsheets and specialized software.
· Create, import and export billing files using the Ohio DODD website.
· Reconcile DODD remittance reports and tracking errors/corrections.
· Maintain records and master list of adult participants.
· Reviews and validates billing data and prepares billing data entry for A/R system.
· Prepares Step-Up billing statements and mails to schools.
· Processes payment remittances and records payments in A/R system.
· Prepares all A/R daily, weekly and monthly reports.
· Maintains the Waiver finance portion of the client program enrollment through management of Camp software.
· Prepares and records journal entries related to bank activity.
Deliverables:
· Maintain confidentiality of information regarding participants, processes and client interfaces.
· Maintain a two-week waiver billing cycle to ensure positive cash flow.
· Interface with county SSA(s) to maintain individual budgets and communicate budget overrides.
· Support annual audit process.
· Support annual budget process.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a minimum of seven years of comparable experience as a staff accountant with knowledge of cash cycle accounting.
· Above average computer skills, including knowledge of databases and ability to learn new software systems.
· Strong work ethic, excellent communication, and strong attention to detail required.
Direct Support Professional (Adult Day Services)
Our Adult Day Services program offers an opportunity for adults with disabilities to build independence while developing life skills and engaging with their community. To ensure a safe an enriching program experience, we’re hiring Direct Support Professionals to join our growing Adult Day Services team.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will join a collaborative team that engages participant groups in art, technology, wellness and other recreation areas. Groups also venture out into the community — exploring Greater Cincinnati parks, museums and other local attractions.

Educational Aide (Step Up)
Our unique Step Up Autism Alternative Education program provides an individualized education for students with autism that struggle in a traditional classroom environment. Students travel from their home district to attend school throughout the year on Stepping Stones’ Given Campus in Indian Hill.
Educational Aides follow guidance from a licensed Intervention Specialist and Educational Services Director to best support students in their daily studies. Aides deliver 1:1 instruction on academic, self-care, daily living and self-regulation skills.
